I am premaritally a watercolor artist, though I do dabble in other mediums - acrylics and gouache and throw in a bit of calligraphy as well.  I will paint on nearly any surface.  My primary canvases are paper, leather (shoes & handbags), ceramic, glass (wine glasses) and have started a bit of hand engraving as well.  My primary subject is florals. 

I have NEVER been artistic.  I didn't study art, I didn't paint and draw as a kid, I did nothing artistic.  But in January of 2020 I took an online calligraphy course.  That is where I learned modern calligraphy.  At the end of the 6 month course, a 7 day intro to watercolor course was available so I took that, what the heck.  That changed everything! I fell in love with watercolor, the movement of the pigment and relationship with the water.  I was hooked.  That first year I don't think I missed a day painting.  It's a rare day now that I don't paint something. 

My best seller and what I'm known for is original painting on authentic sheet music.  I love to paint on hymns and Christmas music sheet music.  I also do custom work for clients; bottle painting is a favorite.
